Draught@TCBW2019. Ruby colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is tar, peat, some alcohol and mild wooden tones with some rye to it as well. Flavour is dried fruits, some peat, tar, mild wood as well as some rye and a bit toffeeish tones. Alcohol is giving a light warming touch.

Brownish red, slight off-white head. Smell is sweet and medium peaty. Body is thin and quite highly carbed. Tastes sweet and meaty peaty. Something like peardrop candy, bit of siltyness. Flavourwise not bad, just could do with more body and intensity.

Can 33 cl. Beer ABV has been corrected to 10% on the can. Pours an almost clear, dark amber with a yellowish head. Nose is pure iodine and tar - not really something I appreciate in my beer. Rich, sweet, maly, caramellish body - and then the peat comes rushing in once again destroying everything you ever knew about beer. Peat flavors are an abomination in whisky as well as in beer. Yuck! What a waste of a good Barley Wine. 180220

33 cl can @ Kangasala. Rated on 13.07.2019 Aroma has sweet malt and Laphroiag. Flavour has sweet malt and it finishes with smoky Laphroiag. Laphroiag is really strong with this one. A tad too sweet and heavy, drinkability suffers.

Can 330ml (Alko web)
Dark clear ruby colour, medium-sized beige head. Strong Islay peaty nose. Light to medium-bodied, even thin for its ABV. Solid Islay whiskey flavour over the berryish, caramelly, ryeish body. Some bitterness in the finish. Maybe could have a bit more body and maltyness. Laphroaig is nice here.

Brown sugar, thin, grains, some peat, iodine, leather, caramel, dried fruits, raisins, thin, BW and Laphroaig not the greatest combo

Can. Copper color. Aroma of peat, smoke, little raisin, caramel and nice laphroaig. Taste has malty peat, strong smoke, oak, iodine, seaweed, malt, raisin and malt. Like a malty laphroaig, very nice.
