Pääsiäisolut on tumma pintahiivaolut jonka halu on taittaa perinteisiä tukevia pääsiäismakuja raikkaisiin kevätaamuihin. Tuoreella mintulla ja aniksella maustettu suklainen, hieman mämminen stout. Mallaspohjassa myös imelletyttä ruista. Tämän kanssa kelpaa maistella pääsiäisherkkuja.

50cl can. The beer pours cola brown color with a thin white head. Chocolate notes, malt, toast and light spiciness. Some roast in flavor, chocolate, essance and light spiciness. Sweetness. Not to my liking really.

Aroma: Mild roasted malt, coffee and some chocolate.
Palate: Medium body. Moderate sweet and an ok bitterness. Soft carbonation. Creamy texture.
Taste: Mild chocolate, coffee, mild spices and roasty.
Overall impression: Mild and pleasant ale. No fancy pancy but nice on a quiet evening.
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with Rosenbergh.

Bottled (From K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). Deep murky brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is mild berries, some toasted notes, mild smoked notes as well as some slight yeast. Flavour is metallic, toasted, some ashes and quite dry finish. Somewhat unclean, and the thin body doesn’t help the few strong elements (for instance ashes) to balance out at all. This could probably be good if it was 3 or so percent stronger. As for now, nah,

Dark brown color, small brownish head. Aroma has dark chocolate, toasted malts and spices. Light to medium-bodied. Front is a bit watery. Then roasted maltyness, coffee, licorice and spices (clove). Nice roast in the finish. Somewhat useless with only 4.2% (stronger would work better with this kind of brew) but as interesting enough to drink a bottle.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE 10/2014
Aroma has cocoa and some chocolate. Flavour has well roasted (almost burned) malt, dark chocolate, some rubbery tones and hints of ash. Surprisingly good, the chocolate is not essence-like here. A chocolatey porter (or stout.)
