Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a finger and a half of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark roasted malts, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, touch of vanilla and some coffee roastiness
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together in a fine sweet to roasty to semi-bitter quality; finishes semi-dry with good sweet chocolatey notes
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper, some smoothness but also some roasty assertiveness
Overall: very nicely done impy stout very worthy of returning to.

Sampled between ratebeer and brewver, so no extensive notes were taken. This is a great Imperial stout , american style. No additions , no barrel ageing, no nothing. just plain brewing skills very well shown off. Tad bitter, some sweetness, roasty, thick bodied, and rather low carbo. lovely !

Opaque colour, small brownish head. Strong sweet and roasted aroma has cocoa, coffee, fruityness and dates. Medium to full-bodied. Robust palate with similar flavour than the aroma. Alcohol is warming, coffee and cocoa in the aftertaste. Maybe a bit spiceyness too. Quite strong winter warmer.

Fantastic! Dark choc/cocoa/coffee/caramel/molasses/toffee/nuts/toast/biscuit/dark bread; lighter licorice/raisin/plum/smoke/charcoal/herbal/pepper/pine. Fairly hop/char bitter. Creamy/silky/bready full body. Fairly sticky/chalk drying, no acrid/astringent
