Dark brown colour, brown head. Smell of burnt bread. Aroma of burnt malt, bread. Bitter, somewhat artificial.

Draught @ Angleterre. Pitch black, beige head. Roasted malt, oatmeal, sweetness in aroma. Flavor has roasted malt, oatmeal, hops. Dry finish. Decent, light porter.

Draught. Deep rubyish brown, close to black colour with a mediumsized brown foamy head. Aroma is fruity, floral, mildly ashy and some roasted and chocolaty notes. Flavour is roasted malts, some earth, grains, chocolate, ashes and toffee. Nice roast, coffee and toffee in the aftertaste.

Aroma has cocoa, some soy sauce, licorice and hints of herbs. Flavour is dry with salty licorice some soy sauce and some unusual grainy feeling - perhaps this is the emmer. Hints of cardboard and plastic notes on some sips. Becomes a bit sticky towards the end of the glass. Too salty.

Pours dark brown, almost black with a small white head. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice, dark chocolate and hints of fruits. Taste is smooth, mildly roasty and malty with some salty licorice, fruity hops, wheat, and hints of chocolate. Finish is medium bodied, slightly roasty and malty with some wheat, oatmeal, fruity notes and salty rye. Nice, quite tasty and balanced porter with nice fruity touch.

Draught at Kaisla, Helsinki. Colour is almost black with small brownish white head. Aromas and flavours: Grain, licorice, chocolate and roasted malts.

(Draught at Kuikka, 20130220) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized, dense and lightly brown. Aroma had roasted malts, chocolate and liquorice. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roasted malts, ash, fruitiness, chocolate hops and bitterness. Aftertaste had roasted malts, sweetness, chocolate and bitterness. Surprisingly hoppy and fruity. A bit unbalanced, too.
