Cask@Market Porter, London. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is fruity, caramelly, earthy and slightly bitter as well. Flavour is malty, sweet fruity and floral with some mild wooden and grassy notes. Quite bitter finish.

Cask at the Prince Albert, Wall Heath. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a medium head. Not much on the nose, just some faint lemon and a hint of hops. Slightly sweet taste to start with some hops somewhere. Low bitter finish. Watery. Easy to neck when it’s really hot I reckon, but not a good session when it’s a bit cooler.

Cask at the Pheasant, Ashford, Kent. This really hit the spot for me - an excellent example of what a summer ale should be. Full of hop character, but also light and refreshing. Straw coloured with a dense cream head; fresh leafy hop aroma; resinous bitter flavour at first , leading to some biscuity malts; a clean fresh hoppy finish. More please.
