Rainbows Are Real, a vibrant IPA, is hazy and brewed with the terpenes Linalool and Beta-Pinene. The terpenes enhance floral and pine notes and supplement sweet, citrusy hops. The aromatic compounds, derived from natural botanical sources, are used to elevate the beer’s aroma. In this case, their floral and piney flavors supplement the sweet malt backbone and juicy mix of Azacca, Citra, and Mosaic hops. This allows Rainbows are Real to shine in a new way.

Canned 5/9/22, 7/4/22. Moderately hazy, pale-brass-golden, small, white head of moderately-low retention. Juicy and with big ol fruity and bubble gummy esters. Hops are a weird mix of menthol and spice with intense, sharp tropical fruits. Honey, graham cracker, vanilla and light alcohol. Soft and malty, a bit too sweet with heavy bubble gum and heavy fruit ester with random herbal oils and aggressive pine. I don't love the weird spice/pine/floral notes on the finish. They don't jive with the juicy, fruity, bubble gummy NEIPA base. A bit too sweet, as well, though not a trainwreck, at least.

--Canned, from Systembolaget. -- Cloudy orange colour, small head. Some pineapple and overripe tangerine up front. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Dough and lychee. Mid bitter finish.

Can 1 pint. Pours a cloudy, opaque golden with an off-white head. Nose has some citrus/tropical fruits but is dominated by a massive oxidation. Medium body, sweet fruitiness and a rather solid bitterness. 210522
