The fourth in a series of collaborations ahead of our first festival, Friends & Family & Beer. White Hag from Sligo are known for their deliciously drinkable stout Black Pig while we're synonymous with hops, so a Black IPA seemed the perfect compromise. Notes of orange and blackcurrant lead into hints of chocolate and roast and a pithy, bitter finish.
Aroma & Flavour: Orange and blackcurrant up front, followed by papaya, melon and light chocolate and roasted malt notes
Body: Medium bodied with drying finish
Aftertaste: Pithy bitterness, lingering orange notes

Can. Dark brown color. Coffee, caramel and citrus in the aroma. Roast, coffee and caramel in the citric bitter flavor. Pure chocolate in the finish.

ABV: 7.2%. Unclear dark dark brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, sweet malt, dark malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, grapefruit, licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark malt, licorice, pine, grapefruit, medium dry, hop bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20190729]

Dark brown to black color, full sized brown colored head. Aroma is malts, brown malts and hops. Taste malts, hops, malty and hoppy bitter. Medium body and average carbonation. Quite nice. 7-4-8-4-15.

Can sample at a tasting at Tom L's place. Thanks zvsn. Very dark brown to black, tan head. Piney and citric hops, roast, coffee, rather dry, nice bitterness. Pretty nice.

Vom Fass im Muted Horn Berlin 2019-04 getrunken. Dieses Black IPA hat einfache Röstaromen und etwas Citrusschalenabrieb. Aber von allen nur recht wenig. Etwas enttäuschend und langweilig dieses Ale, aber nicht wirklich negatives.
