Can. Orange, caramel malt, pine, and grapefruit peel aroma. Dark amber with moderate tan head. Moderately sweet orange, caramel malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Okay body. Shocked that this beer came from SoCal - didn't think Pete Rose was all that popular on the West Coast.

On tap at Urge Gastropub & Whiskey Bank, pours a clear copper amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out boiled vegetables, subdued herbal hops and toasted bready malt. Flavour is very vegetal and earthy in the hop department, with light grass and semi-sweet caramel biscuity malt. Too vegetal and herbal. Not a fan of this.

12oz can pours with a near clear deep copper body that supports a tight tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a thin orchestra of sweet malts and nuttiness as well as citrus and woody like hoppiness. The taste delivers a smooth malty mouth feel with modestly sweet malts and a light nuttiness rolling quickly into an increasing load of bitter hops. The hops range from spicy woody, citrus and then some Mt. Hood like spicy black licorice. Nice offering.

Pour is a clear amber with a large white head. Aroma is oily hops with some caramel malt. Flavor is a heavy almost roasted malt with a very minor hop. Finish is a little bitter but a bit too malty to let the hops do their thing.
