In Emelisse Lazy Liquorice Iced IPA, aromas of grapefruit and licorice dominate. The bitterness of the grapefruit inevitably returns in the taste of this heavyweight, in which notes of licorice are also present.
This IPA is wonderfully dry, and the high alcohol content of 17.0% leaves nothing to be desired.

Bottle @ Haderslebener beer tasting. Medium head with medium duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, alcohol, dried fruits, malt and has a nice warming finish.

Small cream head, fast reduced to rim over deep purplish brown beer, veiled. Plums, prunes, bit of chocolate, preserved dark fruit, alcohol & fusels. Bitterish, woody, harsh, almost ketonic. Chocolate, dark & dry, again preserved dark fruit as prunes. No more IPA character. Alcohol obvious, yet less than 17% ABV would warrant. viscous, oily, rocket fuel. OK, better than feared, but not as good as the Wicked Whisky f.i.

dark mahogany to ruby colour, minimal creamy beige head; aroma of intensive resiny, grapefruity, some raisins, caramel and slight licorice notes; taste of devastating hoppy bitterness with oily-resiny notes, some dark chocolate/cocoa and spicy alcoholic aftertaste; I have mixed feelings...but it's rather too much for me than a favourite of mine... in your face, but you must see this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fWv7ZK70bI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj1MTTArzPI
