Pours dark purple. Scent is very intense. blueberry allover, kindof overpowering the honey. Remains quite nice, and doesn't seem as artificial as their blackcurrent did to me. Taste is - to my surprise - quite carbonated ! I assume this is a 'flaw' since this is filled in a sample flask a while ago, and it started refermenting ? in any case, it's not at all off, even with this (possible) flaw. I'm just not gonna take the co2 in count, both for positive or negative, since i'm unsure if it belongs here. Full fruityness, with a mild fruit acidity (don't worry, this sample isn't infected with a wild yeast- acidity ) making it a tad drying. Don't be mistaking though, this is quite a sweet mead. Perhaps just a tad too much on the fruit, overpowering the honey qualities? in the end, it's searching for reasons to not rate this extremely high, since indeed it is pretty enjoyable.
