Imperial Stout with Maple Syrup and Coffee
🏀FADE AWAY🏀 We teamed up with Other Half to make a silky, viscous pastry stout that was as smooth as a MJ jump shot in his prime. Fade Away combines our luscious chocolate forward malt base with ludicrous amounts of VT maple syrup and roasted coffee. Shoot your shot. 13.1% abv

Reviewed from notes.
Can to snifter.
Appearance: black in the pour and in the glass with a finger's worth of tan foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: coffee roast, coffee sweet, milk chocolate, nice balance of maple syrup, subtle sweet wafer far down in there
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together in a fine sweet to roasty sort of way; mild finish of the coffee roast and sweetness
Texture: about medium bodied - maybe just a wee touch under; some kind of sipping quality to this; pretty smooth along the tongue
Overall: I'm impressed that a 13.1%-er can be as sneaky as it is to possibly make me want to guzzle this. I'd come back to this.

Reddish black body, no head. Aroma sweet, mostly cocoa with maple and coffee, in addition to some boozy warmth. Body is thick, dense, and heavy, again mostly cocoa, with maple and coffee prominent secondary notes. A sticky, sweet dessert. But, yelling at the sky, I ask where the beer is?

Sampled in DC, pours an oily dark brown, khaki head. Big legs. Big maple and malt and cola and brownie on the nose. Flavor follows with maple and cola and booze. Coffee seems lost. Sweet and boozy finish. 8 4 7 3 14

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of tan head. Maple syrup focused nose with some caramel and milk chocolate as it warms. Dark roasted coffee and maple syrup on the palate. Smooth and silky body. Finishes sweeter than expected, with a bitter roastiness from the coffee.

Draught at OH Rockefeller: pours black oily with small beige head. Large aromas of coffee, chocolate fudge and tinged with the syrup of maple. Taste is quite sweet. Body quite thick. Large chocolate notes. Very pastry.
