A rich clean caramel colour with a hoppy citrus hit. The base of the ale’s flavour comes from a complex blend of five different malts with a bittersweet finish making this the perfect session ale.

Bottle thanks to Peeps. Appearance - deep amber and clear. Off-white head. Nose - caramel, light spiced biscuit and general graininess. Taste - graininess dominates, caramel too. Palate - light to medium bodied. Sweet middle and only slight bitterness on the finish. Overall - loaded as a Bitter rather than an IPA which is correct.

Bottled picked up in Fort William. It pours deep brown with foamy white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, caramel, brown bread, some dried fruits, fruit cake, wood and earth. The taste is dry, quite light, earthy, wood, leather, grain, toasted peanut, dull caramel, bit of cardboard and a touch of spice. Finish is bitter - sweet. Light body and fine, prickly carbonation. Pretty average stuff to be honest. Has a spicy/grainy edge which I am not a fan of...
