White Pony! It’s been awhile! Glad to see this always interesting and oft clunky brewery and their persistently high abv beers still around. This dipa is quite a dark amber colour brew, small pale tan head. Smooth but fairly dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft dry creamy malts, the sweetness of which is more than offset by bitterish caramel and wood. Mild and bitterish fruity whiskey and citric peel, it kinda goes together. Light dry bitterish finish. Any notion of hop brightness has long since fucked off. The barrelling is obvious but for me, not enough hop character here. Just a decent barrel aged beer.
