Bottle from a local bottle shop. Aroma is smoked rye malt, smoked bacon, caramel, biscuity malt, with a touch of ripe fruits. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Nice Rauchbock, kudos to Natte Gijt for doing something different than the predictable Dunkler Bock this season.

Bottle. Pale amber color. Beechwood smoke and fat sausage in the aroma. Malty bready yet dry flavor with beechwood. A bit sharp, but a nice brew.

No, this is not a rauchbock. This is a smoked attempt at a bock where rye suddenly appeared. Trying to be too many things and not succeeding very well. Well smoked, but thin. Flavourwise it's just caramel sweet, with a weird kind of sourness in the back.

Murky light brown colour with no head and low carbonation. Aroma and flavour certainly have a meaty, smokiness. Lacks some body and depth.

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', best before July 2019. Slightly hazy, dark reddish amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, malty, very smoky aroma of caramel, lots of campfire, smoked salmon and some sauerkraut unfortunately. Quite sweet, moderately bitter, malty, extremely smoky taste of caramel, smoked salmon, campfire and a touch of sauerkraut, followed by a short, moderately bitter, fairly smoky and a bit grassy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent Rauchbock with intense notes of smoke, but also with some unfamiliar and unpleasant flavours.
