Tap 10oz at The Square Pub, Decatur, GA. Opaque black, good brown-beige head. Toasted, tobacco and licorice aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, sticky, licorice, toasted malts, dark chocolate and even some bread. Nice sippable "licorice stout". Liked it.

Good imperial stout, not a classic but drinkable as hell and shockingly mellow for a 10% beer. Dark chocolate, coffee, and hints of black cherry and raisin are bolstered by a vanilla-tinged lactose sweetness, while the back end relishes in dark-roast java and a modest but firm unsweetened cocoa bitterness. Not a pretty pint, but the texture is amazing, oily and thick without the slightest inkling of the formidable ABV. Tasty, probably better than it scores.
