--- Beer merged from original tick of Grape Ale IV on 01 Aug 2022 at 18:00 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 6. De smaak is wrang, druif achtig en zure appel achtig. Met een droge afdronk.

Hazy light yellow colour with thin head. Juicy and quite fresh and fruity. Misses some dryness and some yeasty complexity. Some funk would help too.

Just a light haze on this gold beer, short and short lived off white head. Nose is grape juice and a touch of white wine. Fairly smooth start to the palate but it develops a decent fine carbonation on the back end. A pleasant and rounded grape flavour is the dominant character here. Something akin to 85% very ripe white grapes with 15% Muscat thrown in. A light malt base compliments perfectly and doesn't get in the way. Closes out with a slightly tarter white wine vibe and a touch of estery sweetness. Nice job. I do find these grape ales a refreshing diversion from the normal beer tropes.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg.
Light hazy golden with a thin white head. Fruity apple and grape aroma. Some light malty touch as well. Sweet and sour taste not unlike a dry white wine. Sweet dry finish. Very nice refined grape ale. --- Beer merged from original tick of Grape Ale IV on 17 Apr 2022 at 20:33 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.
