Can at home, from the solid newsagent bottle shop in the centre of Dublin .... name escapes me, 19/05/22. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a good sized lasting beige head. Nose is dark malts, light bonfire, smoke, charr, burnt toffee. Taste comprises toffee crisp, dried fruit rinds, dark malts, spice, charr, modest smoked malts. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, light drying close with a spike of alcohol. Decent if no wow.

Can shared by Cloin: Poured a dark brown with a light tan head. Aroma is Smokey, bacon, light medicinal. Taste is smoke and meats, roasted malts.

440ml can @ Pien, Helsinki. Slightly smoky and hoppy with some herbal notes and hints of oak. Pretty balanced and tasty.

Can picked up from Beyondbeer webshop, Hamburg and consumed at home on a very snowy Saturday 2nd April 2022 listening to 6Music Festival, Craig Charles is very funny, I think that he may have had a few beers We had a very nice Gumbo for tea tonight, anyway onto the beer without further ado. Pours mid/dark hazy brown colour with an off white head. Some roasted malts, smoke and a little chocolate. Similar in the mouth, with a little tangy toffee. I like this, the smokiness is done well, easy drinking despite the abv, nice to see a brown ale get this sort of attention.
