Irlbacher Gäuboden Volksfestbier, Flasche von REWE, Velburg. - Tief goldgelb, klar. (8.10.2020.)

Bottle picked up from REWE Getränkemarkt, Zolling consumed at home listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music and sat outside on another glorious ☀️☀️ day, Wednesday 12th August 2020. Pours warm gold, clear as a bell, slim/mid sized white head. Quite a big maltiness, a little cereal, soft mouthfeel, good.

Flascherl (Dank nach Baden, Wuerttemberg und die Hohenzollern Lande!): Golden, clear, medium-sized and pretty stable white head, mild to moderate sweetish-grainy nose with shy lemony (?) hops in the background; mild sweetish-bitter flavour, pretty light bodied for a Märzen; increasing lemony happiness in the mild sweetish-bitter finish. Drinkable, but quite weak...

(Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 01.08.19, from Alko, 20180915) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, sweetness and grain. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, grain, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, hoppy and bitter. A nice grainy brew with a little bit too much sweetness.
