Ammetelle’ refers to the name for Ampthill in the Domesday book. To celebrate the rich local history, we’ve produced a warming, silky oatmeal stout with mild hop bitterness that is every bit as comforting as you’d hope.

Bottle from Co-op, Bromham, Beds. Pours near black with a beige to tan cap. Aroma: light toasted malts, chocolate, dark fruits. Taste: light to moderate sweet & moderate bitter, toasty malts, oatmeal, chocolate. Dry-ish in tast with a sweet roasty finish. Light to medium body with light carbonation. Best Kelchner beer I've tried but the others haven't been up to much.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Tewkesbury Winter Beer Festival, 1/2/2019. Near black in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. Easy-drinking stout with a light mouth-feel, dark fruits, toasty malts and a gentle finish. Good.
