京都醸造にとって未知の領域であったラガーを探検し、理解を深め、未だ見ぬ完璧なラガーを求めて、その道を突き進む冒険的醸造シリーズ、新天地

【醸造家の声】
ビールのスタイルは数多くあれど、チェコピルスナーほど世界中で造られ、愛されているビールはないでしょう。世界最高峰のペールラガーの作り手として名が知れる醸造所、ピルスナーウルケルのビールは、モルトの味わいとラガー酵母のキレ、そして伝統的なホップの香高さで飲む人を魅了してやみません。歴史に裏打ちされたこのビールを私たちが再現しようというのは、不可能に近いことだと思いますが、設備の能力が許す範囲で、このお手本を目指してチェコピルスナーを造ることにしました。結果は一言でいうと、シンプルだが得るものが多いと感じる醸造になりました。麦芽・酵母・ホップの要素がうまく調和し、気づけば杯を重ねるようなこの上ない飲み心地のピルスナーが出来上がりました。

[Naming]
Our original release of New Frontier was a journey into new territory: lager. From there we now look to branch out into yet more untravelled paths, changing hops, malt, and yeast as we continue the journey to find the perfect lager.

[Brewer's Voice]
The Czech Pilsner gave birth to the style of beer that is brewed and drunk more than any other throughout the world. Made famous as the world's first high quality pale lager by the Pilsner Urquell Brewery, this style is typified by rich malt character, lager yeast crispness, and traditional noble hop aroma. While replicating such a classic is nearly impossible, we stayed as close to the original as our equipment would allow. The result is a simple-yet-rewarding brew with all its components in balance--a beer that by the time you realize it you have already had three!
