Small whitish head over lively carbonated veiled golden beer. Sugary nose, cardboard, bit spicy. Spicy/herbal flavour, felt; very light-hoppy flavours. Underlying sweetness, corn-like. Finish shows a rather indifferent bitterness. Light body, certainly for 7.5% ABV. Good carbonation, very slick. Humpf. Txs to Stef!

Clear golden beer with a white head. Aroma of herbal and spicy pale malt. Taste of belgian yeast, pale malt, spices and some herbs.

Pours a unclear blonde. medium sized, fairly stable white head. Scent is characteristic saison, but not overly expressive on the phenols. They're there, but balanced. very fresh, malty . Not as Hay-forward as usual. Great start ! Taste is quite bitter, dry, just a tad acidic in the back - not enough to be a tart saison (and it's definately more in the style of the bitter saisons) so thats just a minor off note to me. not infected, though, just perhaps a tad low on the water PH. High alcohol can be noticed, and I for one would have prefered this to be the standard 5.5 - I don't think the extra alcohol is beneficial. Than again it's pretty in style , free from major flaws , and indeed has a certain uniqueness to it. As far as the beers I've judged of this edition go (this wasn't one of them) this is indeed the best one of this edition !
