Windows Up is a single IPA made with Mosaic and Citra hops. It pours a hazy straw color and is topped with bright white beer foam. Piney aromas mingle with fruity notes, while hints of citrus fruit and an overall lingering resinous quality lend a touch of complexity to this dank IPA.

Bottle provided by Alpine for review. When I poured the beer into an IPA tulip, I got a dank nose indeed. Pine resin dominates here, with a backing of well, catbox (in a good way). The color is gold to brassy, just a slight haze, with a spongy white head. The taste is thick and malty, with stickiness on the lips, befitting its 7% ABV. The hop resin remains a big part of the taste, with a slight backing of citrus and papaya. It harks back and amplifies the original ideal of west coast pale ales, pushing only slightly into extreme territory. This one seems to need to be tasted by itself, instead of as a mealtime go-with.

Bottle. Lightly hazy golden body. Frothy white head, slowly diminishing. Inviting aromas of orange, citrus, tropical fruit, toasted grain, cookie, light pine. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Starts with sweet citrus and tropical fruit, finishes with pine bitterness. On the sweet side, but well balanced with bittering hops. Really nice aroma and mouthfeel. Not especially crisp, but clean, juicy. Really nice IPA.

Keg at BD Soho, 12/05/17. Golden copper with a decent off White cap. Nose is caramel, biscuit, grassy hop, grapefruit, old skool vibes. Taste comprises caramel malt, pine needle, dank hop strokes, orange pith, grapefruit, light floral bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive come danko hop bitterness in the close. Decent IPA.

Keg at BD Soho. It pours golden with a thick whitey. The aroma is initially sweet, sticky, candied citrus, then it is green, grassy and weedy. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, juicy tropical fruits, mango, orange, candied peel, spicy, dank, sticky, pine and a touch of resin. Light alcohol hit kicking about also. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Nice balance to it. Good fun.
