American Dream is our hoppy American Red Ale but in a "double" version. We brew this baby with all American grown and malted barleys including a 2 row base with 80 lovibond caramel malt and a touch of Aromatic. Then we go crazy adding copious amounts of a variety of American grown hops, like Cascade, Amarillo, Chinook, and Simcoe. We finish the whole thing off with a huge dry hop dose of blended American hops.

Draft. Sweet buttery caramel malt, orange and piney herbal hops aroma. Amber with a large off-white head. Sweet buttery caramel malt and piney/minty hops flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation.

tap at the brewpub - Pours a rich red with an off-white head. It smells of caramel malt and citrusy hops. There’s quite a bit of hops bitterness in the flavor but not as much as I’d expect at 80 IBUs. That’s because it also has intense, sweet caramel malt, emphasis on the caramel. It’s not quite what I expect but it’s good.
