On draft at the brewpub in Kearney. Pours a cloudy gold with an off white head. Fruity nose. Grapefruit and pine flavors with just a hint of smoke. Bitter finish.

Draft. A- Mild smoke, grains. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Mild smoke, ham, bitter, citrus, pine. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, slightly bitter finish. O- Okay but really strange. The smoke seems to fade as it warms which is exactly the opposite of what should be happening. More meaty than ashy in terms of smoke. The concept is cool but it doesn’t work like it should.

Draft @ brewery. Sweet caramel malt and orange hops aroma. Clear amber with a moderate beige head. Sweet piney orange hops, caramel malt, and earthy/woody flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. I was told they used the peated malt that they use for the scottish in this one, so it’s not really smoked. I didn’t think the flavor had any smoked character, but it was still a nice solid IPA
