50cl can at home (25 VI 2021), as Steam Brew German Red. Egg-white to somewhat off-white collar, very frothy to whipped cream, topping an indistinguable red to green brew, between clear and hazy and with reddish gloom. Not the most appealing brew. Although it is unclear to me what is the brewer's intention, the beer's website information reveals Dunkler Bock as beer style. The nose has different unnatural feeling flavours, ranging from sugars, raisins, rum, yeast, vague malt hints in thin air, and even some faint red candy sweets. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with slight carbonation and heaps of sweets - albeit not in a sugary sense. It has a premium pilsener or extra sweetened Belgian triple tongue. The taste has a velvet finish, after feeling sweet and wheat, hinting at bread, hay, caramel even. There is a nice bitter touch in it as well. Nonetheless, the alcohol takes over in just a couple of seconds, limiting the flavour range of this brew. This beer is definitely thrown on the market as a discounter bock beer. Nothing more, nothing less.

Color rojizo tirando a marronáceo con espuma blanquecina. Aroma ligero a malta tostada. Sabor con notas muy sutiles a caramelo. Final con falta de cuerpo y sabor.

Can, long lasting bubbly head, clear dark red to brown color, caramel,some yeast and hints of burned sugar, quite sweet and bland. Difficult to drink.

500cc blik van Lidl. Bruin bier met mooie lichtbruine schuimkraag. Smaak is zoet en licht fruitig met iets van peren en karamel. Niet echt geweldig, veel te kunstmatig naar mijn mening.

Clear amber. Sweet malty, candied sugar, a bit grainy, alcoholic. Not that great. Purchased at Lidl

Clear rusty amber with bright white head. Sweet malts, dirty bean cooking water, soft sweet caramel. Sweet, sugar syruppy, low carbonation.
