Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5.5
Tap at Mad Anthony. Unfiltered red-brown body. Thin off0white to beige head. Very amateur. Went for the full pint, got burned. Sweet and heavy, big red fruity lager tones. A little undercarbonated, and too much unattenuated sweetness. Brutal, not hot, just heavy. Caramel extract oddness. Not good.

Sampled at Ft. Wayne Beer-Bacon Fest. ABV 8.1 Toasty malt and light raisin aroma. Hazy amber with a minimal head. Sweet toasty caramel malt, dark fruit, and light alcohol flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation.

draft at the brewery - Pours brown with a two finger lingering head. The aroma is of malt, some of it caramel, and a touch of alcohol. The flavor is very malt dominated with a hint of dark fruits and just a little hops. It’s medium bodied and the alcohol also comes through somewhat in the taste. Warming and a decent quaff though not a great example of this style.
