tap - Pours hazy orange with a small head. It smells of caramel malt and fresh, citrusy hops. The flavor has a nice citrus hop punch with good bitterness and a heavy caramel malt backbone. It’s not as bitter as many double IPAs. Quite tasty though it’s a bit medicinal.

tap at the Ft Wayne brewpub - Pours amber with a small, off-white, well lacing head. The main aroma is of citrus hop along with some caramel malt. The flavor includes a sweet malt backbone along with aggressive hopping with citrus notes. It’s pretty balanced, full bodied, and has a long, bitter finish. Very nice.

Sampled from a growler at Ft Wayne RB tasting - Pours a deep copper color, laces well, and more importantly has a big grapefruit hop aroma with a hint of resin. This beer is obviously about the hops but it also has a solid, full bodied malt backing that lends it some sweetness. The hops contribute big citrus flavors along with some pine. Excellent beer, one of the best brews Mad Anthony’s has ever made.

Draft @ Warsaw location. Sweet buttery caramel malt and subtle earthy orange aroma. Deep amber with a large off-white head. Sugary sweet caramel malt, musty orange, grapefruit peel, and herbal hops flavor with a slightly spicy finish. Medium full sticky body, soft carbonation. I was surprised at how malt forward this was for a fresh hop beer. It was nice, but far too sweet for my personal taste.

Tap at Warsaw location. Fresh floral citrus hops and caramel malt aroma. Chestnut with a moderate ivory head, thick creamy lacing. Sweet caramel malt (really-really caramelly), peach, citrusy piney hops flavor. Full sticky body. Well done malt hop balance.
