De Cuyp van Mokums Mout is de eerste special edition van 2018. Het bier is vernoemd naar de beroemde dagmarkt in de Amsterdamse volksbuurt De Pijp. Niet toevallig de plek waar de liefde van de brouwers voor zure bieren werd geboren.
Deze special edition begint zijn leven als een Belgische dubbel, waarna bij de tweede vergisting wild gist (Brettanomyces) is toegevoegd. Dat geeft dit bier zijn heerlijk friszure karakter.

Bottle. Muddy golden orange pour. Aroma of delicious brett funk, horseblanket, malt, old hop, citrus, green apple, oak and vanilla. Taste has fresh citrusy green apple, brett funk, old hops, bitter grapefruit, horseblanket, oak, malt and a bitter tart finish. Body is a bit thin. Nice brett beer, love the funk and horseblanket, body could be a bit thicker to add complexity.

Bottle. Murky brown color. Peach, lime and a hint of caramel in the aroma. Sour, soft bretty flavor with caramel. Herbal notes, lime and peach. Very nice.
