Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a decent looking hazy orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing sticking around the sides of the glass.
The smell had some burnt caramel malts with a side of grassiness but not exactly showing anything wonderful.
The taste was somewhat sweet but toasty with a slight breadiness trying to come in.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability.
Overall, honestly, it’s just an okay beer.

Bottle. Light sweet caramel malt aroma. Clear golden with a small white head. Flat grainy malt flavor with a strange metallic bite that’s not quite bitter. Light body.

bottle - Pours golden with a small fizzy white head. The aroma features caramel and fruit notes. It’s better than the flavor. Apparently "Nova Scotia style pale ale" means sweet and bland with almost no hops to be found. Not very good.

Bottle at Sander’s place in NYC. Pours clear gold with a small, white foam head. Lightly toasted malts in the nose, mild caramel and straw. Medium sweet flavor, sweet bread, grains. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet, slightly syrupy finish, faint leaves and grain, some toasted sugar. It’s nothing special, though slightly better than the Nova Scotia Brown Ale.

Weak dried leaves aroma. Crystal clear amber, thin head. Mainly dry malt with a honey character, but weak. Rather macro-ish, but not entirely a lost cause.

Pours a crystal clear deep golden color with a smallish white head that dissipates almost instantly. Smells of sweet honey malt, spicy floral hops, skunk, and corn. Taste is sweet honey like bready malt with enough earthy spicy hops to keep this from cloying. This one steers dangerously close to the sweet side. Medium to light body, moderate level of carbonation, slick sweet mouthfeel. Easy enough to drink with really no flaws, but also a bit boring. Maybe a good lawnmower beer? Should be hoppier.

My first beer in this line. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright amber color with a large foamy orange-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy caramel, bitter and faint vague fruity hops and an undertone of cooked vegetables. The flavor was dryish, bitter and a touch floral with faint vague fruity hops. The finish was medium length grainy malts and vague fruits. Medium body but overcarbonated. Unimpressive.

12oz bottle pours clear copper / gold with white head. The aroma offers up a mix of spicy hops and earthy hops with a bit of roasted malts and sweet malts in the background. The taste is similar with spicy and floral hops backed up by some earthy hops, a bit of roasted malts and malt sweetened floral hops into the finish.

Pours light gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to coat surface. Sour hay aromas. Thin sour caramel and wet hay from front to back. Abrupt bitter earth finish.
