Een dubbel gedryhopt, extra zwaar blond bier. Een unieke combinatie van een Belgische bierstijl met Amerikaanse hoppen. Een verwarmend bier voor de koudere dagen.

can, hoptimall deluxe calendar #7 Very subtle and subdued aroma, I get a little malts and some flowery hops, some herbal hops, nothing else. super weak aroma for a 10% alc. beer. also weak for a belgian. However, whatever little aroma there is, seems balanced and of great quality. i think the herbal notes might be pine. Flavor is malty, pine and grapefruity hoppy, the malts are solid and also have flowery notes and sweet flowery notes, sort of like a tripel, althoguh this one seems very refined and clean for a tripel. alc. can be sensed indirectly but is hidden, not *that* much flavor, just a very strong base beer with no off-flavors and then a mild but full bodied if that makes sense, hoppy balance to it. Very underplayed, if you gave a few pints of this to some unsuspecting friend, that friend would get a lot more drunk than the friend would've expected. Nothing bad with this one, also, nothing particularly interesting or good. Tastes like high quality for sure.

Troebel geel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet met iets van abrikoos, wat zoete sinaasappel en wat zwarte thee. Misschien iets te zoet?

Head gone in seconds over clear deep-golden beer. C-hops a mile out, bit oxydized however. Signs of aging, despite BBd beign 6 months off. Rosewater. Rosewater returning, sweet citrus, again some (mild) oxydation. Lots of restsugars, alcohol fortifying. Very slick, really oily feel. Medium bodied, long sweet aftertaste. The hops are there, but a bit tired. It's a heavy sweet blonde with hoppy make-up. Txs to Stef!

(Draught at Foeders, Amsterdam, 6 May 2022) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit and resin. Fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, lemon, resin and a generous citric/resiny bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Sweet and hoppy. A bit one-dimensional, malt is definitely around, but hidden in all the hops. Hardly balanced, but still very nice.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg.
Light hazy dark golden with a white head. Citrus aroma with some yeasty esters. Sweet taste with a sweet finish. Indeed a hopped up Belgian strong pale ale.
