Sample from Cask at Delaval Arms, Whitley Bay. Amber brown colour, tan foam head and aroma of malt, roasty. Taste is malty, roasty, nutty with some bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, roasted bitter finish. Quite drinkable.
