Panda at home, thanks to Grumbo/Graham, 31/03/23. Almost clear orange with a just off white cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is herb, sharp citric zest, hedgerow, touch of gin, damp oak, spice. Taste comprises gin blossom, mellow barrel, vinous tones, hedgerow, herb, citric tang, kiss of alcohol, light honey. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not bad ... has some complexity ... maybe the elements don't all come together that well but decent enough.

10/3/2023. Bottle shared at our hotel in Worcester. Bought direct from the brewery. Pours clear dark gold with a small frothy just off-white head. Aroma is herbal, citrus, yeast, light wood, stone fruits, hint of bubble-gum. Medium sweetness, moderate developing bitterness. Quite full bodied, sticky, soft carbonation. Good.

Bottle bought at the brewery tap. Aroma had deep honey with low key boozy edge. Smells more of honey than a mead. Opaque dark amber. Thick foamy white head. Medium bitter. Woody. Conkery? Gin herbal hints. Then develops sweet honey. Slightly sour edge. Would be interested to try the base beer because the barrel aging is obviously skewing things. Albeit the honey sweetness gradually gains traction Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish.
