Panda at home, thanks to Grumbo - cheers Graham, 30/03/23. Extremely dark mahogany brown to light black with a tan cap that veers to a swirl. Nose is dark malts, vinous notes, mellow rum barrel, fruit cake, dried fruit esters. Taste comprises raisins, dried fruit rinds, vinous, light booze, toffee, kiss of rum, dates, figs, toffee. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Perhaps lacking some depth but a pleasant enough sipper.

10/3/2023. Bottle shared at our hotel in Worcester. Bought direct from the brewery. Pours very dark brown with a small frothy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, rum barrel, molasses, dried fruits, caramel, hint of tobacco. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness, light rummy tang. Medium body, oily, average carbonation. Nicely done.

Bottle bought at the brewery tap. Aroma has rum and liquorice - sweet and boozy.dark. Dark brown. Opaque in the light. Foamy microbubbled beige head. Medium-heavy bitter. Salt liquorice and blackest of black coffees. A Norwegian blend \m/ Booze too. Despite the sweetness in the aroma the flavour is not particularly sweet. At all. Vague hints. Medium-heavy bodied. Oily. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. Big bitter Porter.
