Cragg Bitter sets off with bold, malty taste notes. It only takes a few sips before the Challenger and Golding hops catch up to provide a distinctive crispness building to a clean, malty and bitter finish.

500ml bottle - Pours a clear coppery amber colour with a small frothy beige head that quickly settled. The aroma is malty with some red berry and hoppy notes. A moderately sweet to light sweet malty taste, sweet malts, caramel and red berry fruit flavours with a medium-light bitterness.

Bottle from Cheers Liquor Store, Todmorden. Clear copper-amber, quite dark in this, with a small head. Malty and sweet, so much so in the latter there's a lot of red-berry influence that comes across as cherry at times. Similar in aroma.
