Venturing further off the beaten path, Muskoka's new Drifter ale is worth exploring. A light malt backbone sets the stage for aromatic notes of juicy apricot, citrus zest and bold flavours of pine. This well-rounded ale is perfect paired with Pork Schnitzel topped with coleslaw tossed in a creamy chili vinaigrette.

Can from the lcbo. Hazy or age pour with a small medium white head. Biscuity malts, and cereals, light stone fruit, but lacks the big fruity notes. Mouth feel is nice, carb is solid, finish is lightly bitter, soft fruit, pretty bland really.

Hazy golden-amber with a big frothy, warm cap, good stay and some foamy lacing left. Big orange juice aromas with some lemon peels to add some bitterness to the fruitiness. Herbal hints then come along. The taste is citrusy, but being an APA, slightly milder than an IPA. Juicy mouthfeel with some decent grassiness in the finish, creating medium dryness. The citrus lingers. A refreshing, mildly zesty-bitter, citrusy, hazy APA.

473ml can. Pours a hazy gold-orange with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Mild, sweet aroma of grainy pale malt, orange, peach and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of biscuity pale malt, apricot, peach, orange, grapefruit, cantaloupe and piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and average carbonation. Tasty and easy to put back.
