Odense Summer Gathering 2022 after Jonas Vingegaard victory on Hautacam. Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of toffee, vanilla, dried fruit and bourbon. Sweet roasted flavour with bourbon character and boozy heat. A bit thin in the middle of the flavour

Tap MBCC 2022 Red Session. Poured a murky dark brown colour with a think whispy off-white head. The aroma is toffee caramel and alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, rich, nutty herbal, toffee, light warm alcohol bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Somewhat light and a little boozy.

On tap at Brew Festival. It's lightly unclear in the glass, brown in color and topped by a dense, finger-thick light tan head. Curtains. Oak, coconut, dark dried fruits, alcohol and some dark chocolate and prune in the aroma. A good dash of roasted malts too. It's full-bodied and really warming, with a pleasant carbonation level. There's more focus on the roasted malts in the flavor, and it feels quite alcoholic, else it's much the same oak, coconut and dark chocolate, as well as lots of dark dried fruit, prune in particular. Lasting warming, lightly sweet finish with roasted malts and dark dried fruit. Except it's too alcoholic and warming, it's sure a pleasant brew. 220429

Superficial festival rating at Brew Festival, Oslo 2022. Friday session. Dark amber body under a dense beige head. Strong aroma of dark malt, Bourbon and dry fruit. Taste is sweet malt, coconut, Bourbon, dry fruit and warming alcohol. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Quite bold and robust, can’t se the English approaching to the style here, but a nice sipper anyway.
