500ml (says, 330ml, lol) (thx, Matt!) @ Matt's. Appearance: cloudy purple with a weak rose head. Aroma: barrel, lots of grapes, some funk. Taste: long the same lines, moderately acidic, quite much of barrel, some creamy notes from the barrel. Overall: pretty pleasant.

Sort of a reddish-brown colour, hazy, no head. The nose has a fair bit of phenols, but they seem to have blown off. That leaves a vinous note and some yeastiness. On the palate, it's got a lot of tannins, it's vinous, some grapey sweetness, and a hit of alcohol in the finish. Good character, I like the vinous depth here.

500mL bottle (labels says 330mL, but that's clearly wrong), pours a dark reddish mahogany with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out lots of red grape skins, red wine tannins, and some buggy notes. Flavour is quite tannic and vinous, with lots of red wine barrels, lots of oak, lots of bugs, and a little alcohol. Low acidity, quite tannic, oaky, vinous and somewhat boozy. Very nicely done.

Cloudy copper maroon with a small white head. Nice funk and some red grape. Soured red grape and a nice tart note. Light and easy.
