Chapeau! A very good sample with an English twist...

Hopfiger, gleichzeitig stark röstiger, fast verbrannter Malzbeginn. Trocken, gleichzeitig etwas grasig - nicht wirklich zueinander passend. Moderat bitter, malzig bleibend, mittellanger Abgang. Meh. 8/7/7/7/9/7

0.33 l bottle from 'Holy Craft Beer Store', best before August 2022. Almost clear, deep ruby with a massive, dense, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity aroma of caramel, some chocolate, raisins, burnt sugar and nuts. Slightly sweet, gently bitter, quite fruity taste of caramel, raisins, nuts, some chocolate and light leaves, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, rather dry, a little roasty and quite earthy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite deep for 6.1% abv, really well-balanced, fairly quaffable. Good one!
