This imperial stout is layered with one, literal ton of roasted Oregon hazelnuts and another ton of Sri Lankan toasted coconut before being dosed with barrel aged Wisconsin maple syrup and fresh ground Mostra coffee beans. We brewed this beautiful beer with our brilliant pal from Horus Aged Ales in Oceanside, California.

Tap. Black color with no head. Aroma is maple, walnuts, vanilla, all the pastry. Taste is the same, the nuttiness is quite earthy though, not too sweet. Thicc mouthfeel, low carbonation. Good one!

MBCC. Black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, cocoa and maple. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with heavy alcohol. Boozy. 130522

355ml can @ Pien, Helsinki. Sweetish, roasty and heavy with coconut notes, loads of coffee, some nutty notes and maple syrup. Quite balanced for a pastry stout. Nice one. --- Beer merged from original tick of Fishing with Horus on 04 Mar 2022 at 17:57 - Score: 8. Original review text: Loads of coconut, nutty notes and coffee

Coffee, with pancakes, maple syrup, and hazelnut. Brilliant beer, though not as brilliant as Bochum’s 4-2 win over Bayern today!

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a respectable dark tan head. Aroma of maple syrup, coffee and toasted/burnt malt. Full bodied. It's very maple syrup sweet, with coffee, lots of toasted coconut and definitely burnt malt. Heat seem present. There's a biting bitter on my tongue. Heat and ? Dang impressive.
