Dark brown colour with small head.Aroma of dark drid fruit raisins and nuts nice flavor of toffee Carmel and brown Bread light boozy but ok overall.

A: hazy dark brown, stable, foamy, tan head.
A: candied fig & date, dried orange peel, caramel, brandy, rum-soaked raisin.
T: very sweet fig, date & raisin, caramel, cookie, bitter orange peel.
F: herbal hops, candied fruits, caramel, warming brandy-like alcohol.
P: full body, syrupy texture, average carbonation.
Sweet and intense, very good.

Draught@TCBW2023. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, mild nutty and some toffeeish tones. Flavour is sweet toffee, nutty, some dried fruity and mild alcohol tones with some slight burnt sugary tones. Easy-going, but tasty.

Very sticky sweetish, slightly grainy with a sweetish winey finish. Moderate bitterness, easy to drink with a fruity cherry like back. Plums and cherries, prunes, malty soft in the end. Highly drinkable, great stuff!

No head whatsoever; muddy brown beer. Nutty, chocolate bar with nuts, putty. Sweet, again chocolatebar. Bit of human sweat. Raisins, portwine. Very well bodied, but the beer is undercarbonated, still. Viscous. Quite sweet - and not overly complex for a Barley wine. I greatly preferred their Amalgam.

Sample at TCBW 2023 Amber colour with tiny off-white head. Fruity toffeish aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, a bit thin. Apple, toffee in the flavour.

A small taste on tap @ TCBW 2023. Pours clear deep brown with a low head. Aroma is light malts with some caramel. Flavor is sweet malts, caramel, whisky, hops. Good.

Die pechschwarze Flasche mit dem schwarzen Etikett und der schwarzen Beschriftung (was es ehr schwer zu lesen machte) stad schon länger im Regal und wird jetzt endlich gebührend verkostet. Es ist ein intensiver, sehr schwerer Barley Wine mit wirklich tollen, sehr teifgründigen Trockenfruchtnoten nach Zwetschke, Marille, Kirsche und Himbeere hat. Dazu kommen ebenso schwere Holz- un Harzaromen und eine ordentliche Malzsüße. Bei diesem Aromenreigenist es aber nicht überladen oder abstruse. Hier merkt man, dass der Braumeister sein Werk verstenden hat.
