Almost opaque dark purple beer, short lived but attractive bubbly mauve head. Nose of rich red grape with a touch of esters. Palate is smooth and has reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth red grape follows the nose. Mellow blackberry and a melange of other berries. Some tannins emerging in the mid. Back end finds the berry flavours developing a mild bitterness. Some very mild esters before a fairly dry finish. Nice job and yet another facet of the grape ale style. Much in common with a decent red wine but drinking like a beer.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg.
Clear dark rubyred with a pink head. Vinous aroma with cherry, berries and apple. Sweet taste with a medium bitter astringent finish.
