Pours murky dark gold with a towering head that subsides but lingers for the duration amidst sticky lacing. Aroma is very floral, hints of vanilla, juniper, all sorts of strange stuff. Makes a very clean impression. Like one of those perfumed bath soaps. It even tastes kind of like perfumed bath soap, and not altogether bad, although I’m not exactly enthusiastic. (And also, by the way, not a connoisseur of bathroom soaps.) There’s really a ton of stuff in this beer: orange & lemon zest, juniper, coriander, cinnamon, cardamon, bay leaf, allspice, rosemary. Huh. My gumbo recipe has less seasoning. The overall taste is lightly bitter, and oddly one dimensional after so much effort. The rosemary and juniper are noticeable. Hell, it’s not exactly bad, and definitely gets points for creativity. Not something I want to drink everyday though.

On tap at Pudel, Tallinn. Slightly hazy golden with a lasting, white head. Herbal and spicy aroma with solid notes of juniper, mild fruity notes and hints of citrus and malt. Moderate sweet and surprisingly flavourful with fruity hops and juniper dominating. Finishing rather dry and bitter. Didn’t have too high hopes for this one, but this is really nice and refreshing.
