An experiment with bold flavors this Imperial Stout was aged for 14 months in Jim Beam and Buffalo Trace barrels giving huge notes of coconut, vanilla, toffee and Bourbon with a silky smooth finish.

Black color, small beige head with no retention. Aroma has notes of Bourbon, roasted malts, light coffee. Flavor is mild bittery, high presence of Bourbon notes, burnt Wood. Slightly sweetness in the final, some ripe fruit, Bourbon, alcoholic presence.

Brewskival 2017. Pitch black with a beige head. Huge boozy, velvety bourbon, oak, vanilla aroma. Taste is sweetish with vanilla, bourbon, dark chocolate. Not at all roasted. Pretty good.

Moet zeggen ik vind Jim Beam altijd wel lekker, was ook benieuwd hoe dit zou smaken. Schenkt zwart wat dun met licht bruine kraag. Aroma en smaken zijn redelijk, romig, helaas niet al te stevig qua textuur, gebrande en geroosterde mout, chocolade, bourbon maar wel in zijn eigen smaakpalet, het is net alsof ze gewoon een paar flessen bourbon hebben leeggegoten, niet echt een harmonieus geheel, gebrand, matig zoet, matig bitter, beperkt

Greyish-greige head, small, over virtually black beer. Intense coffee nose, coffeebeans-chocolate sweets, vanilla, Bourbon. Sweet, vanilla, Bourbon, young oak, vinous. Finish is lacking, getting towards neutral, bland. Feels somehow light!! Alcoholthinning? Certainly not up to its profile, let alone ABV. Alcoholwarming is there, slick. Hops for balance, please!! Nose promised so much, taste is all the more disappointing.
