Tap at TCBW. Opaque colour, small brownish head. Strong bourbon, some vanilla in the nose. Full-bodied. Bourbon, vanilla, sweetness. Robust, same time quite mellow. Solid.

Bottle courtesy of mcberko. Thanks Matt!! Black color with beige head. Malty aroma, roasted, dark dried fruits, chocolate, vanilla, wood. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma, light alcoholic. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

330mL bottle, pours black with a tiny beige head. Aroma is fairly hot, with bourbon barrels upfront, with a hint of vanilla and cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, with cocoa, vanilla and hot bourbon. Fairly hot but it works well. Nice use of bourbon. Very good.

Bottle in Peasenhall New Inn, hauled from home. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is quite light and fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Thin but flavoursome dark malts, a little dark chocolate and a trace of coffee. Some modest spice in the mid. Bourbon dominates the back end, mildly fruity. A light but slightly warming finish. Good stuff but didn't hit the stratospheric heights I was hoping for. It's a little thin and dry and lacks a touch of malt richness and sweetness. Good nontheless.

Very dark brown pour with a modest-height beige head. Beautiful bourbon barrel smell up front. Taste notes include bourbon, vanilla, toffee, toasted coconut, coffee, bitter cherries, mouldy oak barrel, figs, plums. A bit too alcoholic in the finish, but otherwise a world-class imperial stout, on par with most US stouts, in my opinion.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. A dissipating tan-coloured head, deep black body, spotty lacing. Bourbon and roasted chocolate malts on the nose. Blended taste character of vanilla chocolate, wood, and prunes. Ends with warming bourbon down the throat. Medium depth. A good one, a bit over the top, and too fresh, maybe it gets better after one year or two in the cellar. (Tromsø 16.02.2018).

Bottle. Black pour. Delicious aroma of bourbon, coconut, caramel fudge, chocolate and malt. Taste has rich boozy bourbon, caramel fudge, coconut, milk chocolate, oak, soft red fruit and a long bourbony finish. Fantastic.
