This brown beer poured with a slight haze and a stable tight creamy head. The aroma was complex with wood, spice and sweetness from the malt. There was a moderate hop bitterness that balanced the sweet biscuit and chocolate in the malt. A traditional session bitter in the English style.

5/5/2022. Bottle from 10 Beer Bottles, Wivenhoe. Pours clear dark bronze brown with a small creamy off-white head. Good looking pour. Aroma is malty, fruity, nutty, toffee, biscuit, hint of liquorice and treacle. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and body. Oily, average to soft carbonation. Decent, especially for it's low abv.
