500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, courtesy of Jeremy. Pours a misty orange, thin white head. Aroma is pale lager malts. Taste is smooth with a pleasant sweetness, low bitterness, some yeast fruit. Yeah it’s a good kellerbier.

bottle, thanks to pivnizub! Cloudy amber colour, tall fluffy head. Shy, robust grainy start, some earthy hops and a shy yeasty fruity touch. Not very intensive in flavour, quite thin, but not unpleasant.

50cl swing top bottle. Pours hazy orange golden colour with a huge most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of caramelish malt, nuts, grainy malt, mild floral hops. Taste of nutty malt, caramel, floral bitter hops, a bit grainy, not bad!

(swing top bottle) Cloudy, deep golden to amber colour with a firm, medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Mildly bready and slightly doughy malty aroma with hints of caramel and grassy hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Bready and slightly doughy malt-character with caramel and a nutty touch, backed by lighter grassy and herbal hops; moderately dry and mildly hop bitter finish with nutty accents and a tinge of caramel. Likeable. 02.VI.17

0.5 l bottle from local ’trinkgut’, best before December 2017. Slightly hazy, deep amber with a thin, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, malty and slightly grassy aroma of caramel, honey and hints of straw. Moderately sweet, malty and slightly grassy taste of caramel, bread, some honey and some straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy finish. Almost medium-bodied, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Quite okay, at least very quaffable, just a bit bland but nothing wrong with it.

Buegelverschlußflasche: Golden, cloudy, medium-sized rocky off-white head with a nice lacework; moderate sweet-bitter aroma of grains and yeast with some shy hoppy edges in the background; nearly moderate and slightly drier bitter-sweet flavour, relatively light bodied - smooth at least; slightly lingering bitter and grainy-malty finish with a little yeasty tartness in the aftertaste.A contradiction: a Zoigl from an industrial brewery! But all in all nothing wrong with it....
