Dark brown with a fleeting head. Mild licorice aroma. Too faint! Taste is very mildly bitter and empty on a watery palate. The emptiness is overwhelming, totally devoid of the rich, roasted bitterness I would expect for the style. A lot of German breweries seem to really struggle with stouts and porters on the few tries. Need to start from scratch!
