On tap at The Black Turtle Pub, pours a hazy amber orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out metallic notes, stale bready malt, and subdued bittering hops. Flavour is metallic and bitter, with stale hops, stale cardboardy biscuity malt, and metallic notes galore. Very poor IPA - bitter and metallic, with little character.

On tap at Black Turtle Pub IV. Dark amber/orange with a small head. Slightly tart aroma and taste of grapefruit, bread, grass and herbs. Not that bitter. A strange beer with almost no hops.

Draught at Black Turtle (Kosancicev Venac 30), Belgrade. Almost clear dark amber, creamy head. Floral fruity hop aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Light floral, hay-like hops, a bit of sugar. Mid bitter finish.

From tap. Pours cloudy orange with a creamy, dense and off-white head. Aroma is light metallic and light citric. Sweet fruity, light milky and light caramelish. Citric and light milky finish. Ends light citric and mild fruity. Off, yet not offense just boring. Increasing bitterness into the far finish.

18/08 Draught at the BBF 2011. It poured hazy orange body with smaller to medium head. Fine orange and other citrus aroma, sweeter than on usual IPAs I admit. Flavor was weaker and less tasty than expected, but still fine. Strange bitterness, like in German pilseners dry it all the way through finish, where cardboard remains only. Fruity citrus notes from the nose still exist in its flavor, rounding it slightly. Surely more hoppy than other local beers, more unusual, actually incomparable with ordinary brewpub lagers and a very interesting thing.

Draught at the BBF 2011. So, we had hoped that their Stout would be there and that what they were hinting at releasing really is a Rauch. An IPA we didn’t expect. At all. And, in the end, didn’t really get. This is how it goes. It poures an opaque, full amber-red-brown body with a really persistant thich white head. Lookin’ good. The tangy papery lemony nose was a dead giveaway that something’s "wrong". Not that it’s bad, just not IPA-like. The taste is papery lemon again slightly biscuity and grainy. Not much bitterness, but for Serbian standards one can indeed say that this is hop-driven, though hardly in the proper IBU range for an IPA. Reminds me of Croatian brewpub (Medvedgrad/Zlatni Medo) unfiltered lager when those are on form. Which hops are used? Goldings? All in all, on a global scale this is nowhere, on the Serbian scale, it still sticks out and it gets an "overall" point more just for having made some effort.
