Wenig würzig, mild herber Beginn, laff. Trocken malzig, leicht röstig, leicht ansteigende, insgesamt aber laffe Aromatik. Süffig, weich, kurzer Abgang. OK. 10/8/9/8/7/8

Bottle at home. Beautiful dark red to red-brown color, average sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, caramel, malty bitter, but with a pleasant underlying sweet note. Decent to medium body, medium carbonation. Pretty solid. I like it. Nice dubbel.

330ml bottle from Hoppy Craft, St Omer. Pours a hazed deep brown, beige head. Very faint caramelised aroma. A bit lacklustre overall, nowhere near as rich and full bodied as the Belgian originals. Some appealing toffee notes, but finishes rather abruptly. The bar's set quite high with trappist beers, this doesn't meet it.
