Delicately balanced with Caramel & Chocolate Malts for a smooth, dark chocolate aroma & undertones of coffee

On tap at HUBco, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has dry cocoa, earthiness, and toasted bready malt. Flavour has dusty dry cocoa powder, some earthiness, and toasted bread. Too much cocoa powder character and lacking malt depth even for a porter. But not bad.

Dark brown. Fudgey character, lacking bitterness but also malt richness. Simple dark malts. Mild chocolate. A lot of porters are like this but I prefer more complexity.

On tap at the source. Has murky dark brown and minimal foam. Aroma is soft cocoa and biscuit. Tastes of caramel and sweet molasses, some vague biscuit. Ends smooth and overly sweet. It's pretty tepid.
